Bishop Search & Nomination Committee seeks input via online survey

The Search & Nomination Committee encourages all clergy and laypeople in the diocese to participate in a brief online survey. Data collected from the survey will be used to supplement input from Listening Sessions held across the diocese.

What the Search & Nomination Committee learns from Listening Sessions and the Bishop Search Survey will help guide them as they write the diocesan profile, a detailed description of the Diocese of Chicago that helps those who may be discerning a call to be our next bishop learn more about the diocese and its people. The more input the committee receives from different perspectives, the more accurately the profile will reflect the diversity of the diocese.

The survey will take only about ten minutes to complete, and is divided in two parts. The first part asks about various aspects of the Diocese of Chicago and what characteristics are desired in the next bishop. The second part includes questions that will help the committee learn a little bit about those who respond to the survey. These answers are helpful in interpreting the results, and are optional. All survey responses are completely anonymous.

Take the survey online by October 13. Contact the Search & Nomination Committee with questions via email and learn more on the bishop search and transition website.
