MORE THAN 125 congregations and 36,000 members

The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago reaches from Lake Michigan in the east to the Mississippi River in the west with congregations that spread across northern and west central Illinois, including parishes, missions, and campus ministries.

The Search & Nomination Committee has begun its work by listening to voices from across the diocese. What they learn will guide them as they write a Diocesan Profile, a detailed description of the Diocese of Chicago that tells the story of who we are, what we believe, and what we are seeking in our next bishop.

Several Listening Sessions are scheduled to take place beginning in August. Input received from Listening Sessions will be supplemented by the results of an online survey.
